Place softened cream cheese in a mixing bowl, add condensed milk, lemon juice, and vanilla. Beat until well blended. Pour mixture into the pie crust. Chill for 5 hours. DO NOT FREEZE!!!
Pour cherry pie filling on top of pie. Serve.
