Ingredients

1 (12 ounce) package crispy corn and rice cereal (such as Crispix®)
½ cup butter
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons hot pepper sauce (such as Tabasco®)
2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
2 teaspoons onion powder
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C).

  2. Pour cereal into a large roasting pan.

  3. Melt butter in a microwave-safe bowl, about 90 seconds. Mix in Worcestershire sauce, hot pepper sauce, Cajun seasoning, onion powder, seasoned salt, and garlic powder. Pour mixture over cereal, coating evenly.

  4. Bake in the preheated oven, tossing every 15 minutes, until crispy, about 1 hour. Let cool.

This recipe comes from my mom's homemade nuts-and-bolts recipe. Not being a huge fan of the mixed ingredients, I chose my favorite one and then spiced it up. Careful, it's addictive! Store in a large paper towel-lined container.
